Cheerleader | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jacqueline Horne was a dancer at Dance Unlimited from 1989-2005. if you do the math that is from the age of 3-17! Originally from Wauchula, Jacqueline made the drive to Sebring 4, 5 even 6 days a week to dance. Ms. Camille was Jacqueline’s dance teacher, starting when she was 15 years old! She was a part of the first dance competition team at DU called the “Funky Five”. After graduating from high school in 2005, Jacqueline went to Florida State University and joined the FSU Flying High Circus. Jaqueline performed in their annual shows doing arial and acrobatic stunts along with performing in her sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2009, Jacqueline moved to Tampa and starting her teaching career. I auditioned for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders and was a part of that organization from 2011-2015. Becoming captain my fourth year, I had the opportunity to travel to London to cheer at the International series game, meet famous country singer Tim McGraw, perform at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, ring the opening bell at the US Stock Market in New York City, as well as perform at all home Bucs games and local community events in Tampa Bay. Now married to her husband Brian and currently living in Tampa, to Jacqueline dance is not just a hobby, it is a part of her life and created opportunities that most would not be given.
Dancer | Royal Caribbean Cruise
Scott has been dancing since the age of five where he got the “bug” while watching his younger sister dance on the base in Maine where they lived. When his mom took him to see the show “A Chorus Line” in NYC, he was hooked. Scott started his official training at Dance Unlimited in 2000/2001. As the only boy in the studio for several years, Ms. Camille and Ms. Jenn recognized his talent and pushed him to excel in the sport he loved. Scott continued his training by moving to Lakeland, FL and got accepted into Harrison School for the Performing Arts. After graduating he accepted to New World School for the Arts in Miami, FL. Since leaving New World, Scott has performed and traveled nationally and internationally with Royal Caribbean Cruise line for four years as a Production Dancer. He also has performed in local performances and venues between cruises. New York City is not far away and he continues studying his craft to move into other areas of dance and theater. Scott lives in Miami Beach, FL with his fiancé Alan. He is forever thankful for the support of his mother, family and of Ms. Camille and Ms. Jenn who believed that a boy from Sebring could fulfill his dream and make it today in the world of dance.
Amanda started dancing with D.U. when she was in 4th grade. Little did she know that at age 7, a small town dance studio would give her best friends, a second mom, and teach her life skills like team work, discipline, and positive self-image. After graduating from high school and leaving her second home (aka Dance Unlimited), she knew if she stopped dancing, it would be difficult to start again. She joined a non-competitive student run organization called Danza, at the University of Florida and was on the executive board for 3 years as historian, show director, and even Vice President. In between college and grad school, she got an interim job teaching dance at a local studio IndepenDance, in Gainesville. In grad school Amanda joined UCF’s only hiphop group, Rukus Ent. She hasn’t stopped there…if it’s teaching a Zumba class or learning how to ballroom dance, Amanda will keep dance in her life for as long as possible. And to think, it all started in a small town in the middle of Florida!
Dancer | Orlando Magic
Kori began dance at Dance Unlimited when she was 5 years old. Her first taste of competitive dance was when she was 6 years old dancing to The Lion Sleeps Tonight!! Kori grew up dancing at D.U. until she graduated in 2012 and auditioned for the Orlando Magic Dancers at 18. Kori was chosen to be a member of the team after her first time auditioning and was the youngest member of the squad. Dancing with the Orlando Magic Dancers has introduced Kori to numerous travel and other dance opportunities in the dance world. She has traveled to London, Brazil and even danced for a television show in India along with being a dancer on the Latin television show Yo Soy El Artista. This is Kori’s 5th season with the Orlando Magic Dancers and she still has the same fire and passion she had for dance way back in her Dance Unlimited days.
